Tipping at vacation rentals is not mandatory, but it is always appreciated as a gesture of gratitude for good service. If the host or property manager goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, leaving a tip can be a nice way to show your appreciation. The amount you tip is up to your discretion and should reflect the level of service you received. **

My insider tip for vacation is to do some research and find off-the-beaten-path destinations that are less crowded and offer a more authentic experience. Look for hidden gems, local restaurants, and unique activities that are not as well-known to tourists. This way, you can have a more immersive and memorable vacation while avoiding the crowds and commercialized tourist traps. **

When on vacation in Egypt, it is customary to give a tip of around 10-15% at restaurants if a service charge is not already included in the bill. For other services such as hotel staff, tour guides, and drivers, it is also common to give a small tip as a gesture of appreciation for their services. The amount can vary depending on the level of service and your satisfaction, but generally a few Egyptian pounds or a small percentage of the total cost is considered appropriate. **

A general rule of thumb for tipping in a vacation hotel for a week is to leave a tip of $1-2 per day for the housekeeping staff. This would amount to a total tip of $7-14 for the week. Additionally, it is customary to leave a tip of 15-20% of the total bill for the hotel restaurant and bar staff, if applicable. It's important to consider the level of service received and adjust the tip accordingly. **

A great tip for a vacation on a farm with children is to involve them in the daily activities on the farm. This could include feeding the animals, collecting eggs, or even helping with planting or harvesting crops. Many farms also offer activities such as hayrides, pony rides, and nature walks, which can be both fun and educational for kids. Additionally, be sure to pack appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor activities, and consider staying in a farm-stay accommodation for an immersive experience. **
